General Information

Liam is the principal and owner of the practice.
He has been looking after the Strathpine community over 30 years and enjoys the many challenges of General Practice.
Graduating in 2021 with a Master in Skin Cancer he is developing his interest in skin treatments. Liam is the father of 4 children, enjoys good food, the gym, yoga, trekking and going to the cinema.

Dr Carlee Grice

General Information

Carlee graduated from UQ in 2008 and completed her FRACGP in 2016. She balances working part-time and being a mum to 3 young girls. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice but particularly Antenatal care, Paediatrics, women’s health and chronic disease management such as hypertension, Diabetes and asthma. She also performs implanon insertion and removal and also iron infusions.

Dr Maya Venkatesh

General Information

Dr Maya Venkatesh has been working as a GP in Brisbane since 1999. She believes in practising holistic medicine and actively encourages preventive health care in all of her patients.

She grew up in India where she graduated as a Doctor in 1988.

She then spent 7 years training in the U.K. where she was awarded a fellowship in Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

She moved to Australia in 1995 with her family and did her training in General practice and was awarded the FRACGP ( Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice) in 2000.

She speaks 5 languages being fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Konkani.

Her interests in general practice are broad and include women’s and children’s health, chronic disease management, and encouraging healthy lifestyle and weight management. She has a keen interest in ENT and managing ear disease with the use of the operating microscope which we have at the practice.

Hiking, cooking and raising her family keep her busy while she is not working as a GP.

Dr Asiye Doxanakis

B.Med, MPH, FRACGP

General Information

Asiye (Sia) was born and grew in Gladstone Qld and from the age of 8 she wanted to become a Doctor.

She graduated in Medicine in 1996 from the University of Newcastle in NSW.

Sia did her General Surgical training at John Hunter Hospital, The Royal Newcastle followed by The Princess Alexandra and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals in Brisbane. Sia then spent 10 years at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne and rotated through Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatal Intensive Care before settling into the role as a Senior Medical Officer within the Emergency Department. She also gained a Master’s in Public Health.

Sia started General Practice Training at Brendale Medical Centre in 2012 where she realized that was where she wished to spend the rest of her career. She has recently done a 12 month rotation at Yuli Burri Ba Mums and Bubs Aboriginal Clinic in Capalaba which was a wonderful experience. She has gained her Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Dr Sarah Daynes

Born and bred in New Zealand and graduated from UQ in 2009. Sarah spent 3 years at the RBWH.
Proud mother of 2 girls and 1 boy.
